Orchard Lounge – January 30th, 2009
On the eve of January 30th, nationally renown DJ collective, Orchard Lounge, threw down nearly six hours of down-, mid-, and up-tempo ambient tech-house-minimal goodness to a massive dancefloor.
Download their sets here. Part 1 is the Orchard Lounge set from 11:45-12:36 before an untimely break. Part 2 is their set after the break until the recording device ran out of memory. Sorry for partying; the set crept right up on sunrise in Ithaca.
A Recording Session with Grammy-Award-Winning Audio Engineer Randy Wine
In the unique surroundings of the grand hall at 800 University Ave, world renown engineer Randy Wine (Santana, Michelle Branch, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, U2) led a seminar and demonstration of live sound recording with local rhythm and blues band Memphis Sessions. After arranging a live recording studio, Mr. Wine recorded and produced a live album with Memphis Sessions, available soon.
